There are some minor differences in the aesthetics proportions between
the male and female nose. Even-though these differences are subtle they are very important
because they create the right balance that we tend to associate with feminine or male
nose shapes.

First, let’s look at the length of the nose. The woman’s nose
appears shorter than the man’s. This is because the starting point of the nose
(red arrow) is lower on her nose than the man’s. His nose starts closer to the
forehead making the nose longer.
Secondly, let’s discuss the bridge of the nose (blue
arrow). A straight or slightly curved bridge is preferred for female patients. For men,
a straight bridge, or even a small hump is associated with a more masculine look.
Lastly,
let’s look at the rotation of the nose. The more a nose is rotated the more feminine
it appears. So in men, a small amount of rotation is appealing, but too much rotation
will appear feminine.
By following the green arrow we can see that her nose is more up-turned,
it looks more feminine. His nose is less rotated, or less up-turned, making the appearance
of the nose more masculine.
