What Should You Expect During Temporal Facelift Surgery?
The surgery by Dr. Siegel will be performed under local anesthesia and light sedation. Incisions will be made along the hair line or scalp. The skin and tissues under the brows and forehead will be lifted and repositioned and the muscle tissue causing lines and any excess skin will be removed. Once this process is complete, Dr. Siegel will close the incisions with sutures.
Recovery from a Temporal Facelift / Brow Lift
Recovery from your temporal facelift surgery involves very little pain. However, you may experience the sensation of tightness and numbness in the early stages. After the surgery, your forehead will be wrapped in bandages that will be removed one to two days later. The stitches will be removed in one to two weeks.
You may experience bruising and swelling that may get worse in the first two days but will subside completely after two to three weeks. You will need to sleep face up with your head elevated for the first two days and you may need to use ice packs to help reduce the swelling.
