4 Ways an Eyelid Lift Can Transform Your Face

Your eyes may be the most noticeable feature on your face. People look at them when they first meet you, and they help you communicate and express your emotions. Unfortunately, gravity, sun exposure, genetics, and simply the passage of time can take away the natural beauty of the eyes. In addition, some people naturally have more “hooded” eyes that become more prominent with age.

An eyelid lift can give you a smoother, more refreshed appearance. With the skill of an experienced facial plastic surgeon, you can renew your eyes with minimal downtime and a natural look.

Reducing Signs of Aging

The skin around your eyes is thinner than the rest of your face, leaving it vulnerable to wrinkles and sagging. These problems can make you appear older than you are. Makeup and skin creams cannot eliminate excess skin or lift the eye area. To truly take years off your eyes, you need the expertise of a facial plastic surgeon who can address these issues. An eyelid lift, when done correctly, will make you look years younger – but you’ll still look like yourself.

Making You Look Refreshed

It’s the words no one wants to hear: “You look tired today.” Drooping of the eyelids and puffiness can make you appear tired on a daily basis. But properly lifting the sagging areas and using subtle techniques to rejuvenate the eyes with blepharoplasty will result in a well-rested, more alert appearance no matter what life brings you. In addition, an eyebrow lift can be considered in conjunction with blepharoplasty if the brow area is affected by sagging skin.

Helping You Communicate With Your Eyes

Facial expressions are a crucial part of communicating with others. And much of that expression comes directly from your eyes. If you have eyes that have been affected by aging, sun exposure, and gravity, your eyes may be telling a different story than your words. With an eyelid lift, you can eliminate droopiness and wrinkles around the eyes that make you look angry, worried, or tired, so your true expressions can come across.

Making Your Eyes the Focal Point of Your Face

A well-done eyelid lift will bring out the beauty of your eyes, and will give your face proper balance and proportions. When your eyes aren’t affected by excess skin, puffiness, or sagging, they will stand out as an unforgettable feature that enhances your entire face.
