Which Cosmetic Procedures Can I Get Together?

In the plastic surgery world, the best results are often seen from a combination of cosmetic procedures rather than a single isolated one. Also, if you’ve already set aside time and money for one procedure, it’s often quite simple (and relatively affordable) to get another one at the same time. Here are some of the most popular and effective combinations:

Face Lift + Eyelid Surgery

The main purpose of a facelift is to restructure the tissue of your face, counteracting the saggy appearance that comes with age and restoring a more youthful look. The “Vertical Facelift” method favored by Dr. Siegel aims to re-establish a smooth, continuous jaw line and a clear demarcation between your lower face and neck – both of which are important qualities we associate with youthfulness. His specialized procedure is intended to achieve these improvements without the unnatural “pulled” appearance that occasionally arises from less subtle methods.

Since a youthful appearance is the aim of a facelift, many patients find it worthwhile to combine the procedure with eyelid surgery. The areas around our eyes are especially prone to signs of aging. Loose skin, puffiness, dark circles, and deep wrinkles tend to make us look perpetually exhausted. Eyelid surgery (also known as blepharoplasty) is one of the most high-yield cosmetic procedures out there because it counters the effects of all the age-related deterioration that accumulates around our eyes.

Face Lift + Neck Lift

In addition to your eyes, your jawline/neck is another area where signs of ageing accumulate. The clean, continuous jawline associated with youth gradually succumbs to gravity, resulting in sagging skin and jowls that make us look older than we feel. Reversing these effects with a neck lift is an effective way to achieve a more youthful appearance. For this reason, many patients choose to combine a facelift with a neck lift for terrific combined results.

Rhinoplasty + Chin Surgery

If you’re unhappy with how your face looks in profile, it’s most likely because there’s some kind of imbalance between your chin and your nose. A nose that protrudes too far, for example, or a weak receding chin, can be a significant cause of self-consciousness or lack of confidence. Although you may only need one procedure to bring your nose and chin into harmony, some patients find that a combined rhinoplasty and chin surgery are necessary in order to get a profile they’re happy with. Combining the procedures minimizes recovery time and gives your surgeon a greater opportunity to improve the overall harmony of your features.

Botox + Fillers + Lasers

These procedures are all non-surgical, and they all have slightly different outcomes. Broadly speaking, Botox relaxes your facial muscles; injectable fillers restore volume to your face and soften wrinkles; and laser resurfacing improves your complexion by reducing the visibility of pigmentation or scars. All three together can yield dramatic improvements to your appearance without a single stroke of the surgeon’s scalpel.
