The Kybella Process in Houston
If you’re interested in slimming your chin with Kybella in Houston, the first thing to do is schedule a consultation with Dr. Siegel. He will meet with you for as long as you need to have all your questions answered and feel ready to move forward. He will examine your chin, discuss your cosmetic concerns, answer any questions you may have, and design a customized treatment plan for you. He may also create a three-dimensional Kybella “before and after” image to show you what to expect in results.
As every patient and Kybella procedure is unique, Dr. Siegel will give you individualized instructions to follow leading up to your appointment. While instructions may vary, we typically recommend that you avoid taking certain medications that could interfere with the treatment and that you ensure you are properly hydrated. On the day of your procedure, we ask that you thoroughly cleanse your face and neck before you arrive.
Our Houston Kybella treatments are relatively simple, swift, and easy, as it requires no incisions. Most treatment sessions take approximately 15 minutes, but the duration may be shorter or longer depending on your circumstances and goals.
Dr. Siegel may use a topical anesthetic to numb your chin area before beginning with your injections. He will tailor the placement and volume of each injection according to your specific needs and preferences.
Most patients return to work immediately following Kybella treatment. More than 20 clinical studies have confirmed the safety and efficacy of Kybella for double chin reduction without surgery.
After your under-the-chin treatment with Kybella, you may experience mild discomfort, redness, swelling, numbness, hardness, or bruising around the injection sites. Ice and analgesics (painkillers) can help minimize any discomfort from the injections.
Dr. Siegel is the best! He never pushes a procedure he does not believe is needed. He is personable, a perfectionist, and skilled beyond measure in his area of practice. Although my procedures have been limited to non-surgical procedures, I would put any surgical or non-surgical procedure in his hands with complete confidence and trust. If you are looking for a plastic surgeon, he’s your guy! His staff is wonderful, too! They always make you feel completely welcome and at ease!
How Many Kybella TreatmentSessions Are Required?
Typically, you will schedule your next round of Kybella injections approximately one month after your previous treatment. The number of treatment sessions you require will depend on your personal cosmetic and medical factors. Most patients achieve their desired results within two to six appointments.
Our Houston Kybella injections can be used to diminish the appearance of jowls when there is excess fat accumulating around the jawline and beneath the neck. Because it works by destroying fat cells, Kybella may not be recommended if your jowls are caused by sagging skin rather than excess fat, in which case a neck lift or other surgical procedure is more appropriate. In your consultation, Dr. Siegel will establish which techniques are likely to be safe and successful for you and determine the best way to give you the defined, youthful facial profile that looks fresh and youthful.
Most patients with submental fat (double chin) can benefit from Kybella treatment. You may be a candidate for this non-surgical procedure if:
- You are over 18 years old.
- You are looking for a solution to reduce a double chin.
- You do not currently have an infection.
- You are not pregnant.
- Your chin is not scarred.
- You do not have excess loose skin beneath the chin or at jowls. This may require surgical treatment to remove.
- You follow a healthy lifestyle, complete with exercise and balanced nutrition, but your double chin still won’t go away. (If you want to lose weight, it’s important to do so before having Kybella injections. Weight fluctuations can interfere with your results.)
- You are looking for a minimally invasive option to improve your chin’s appearance and your overall facial structure.
While these are general guidelines for candidacy for Kybella in Houston, each individual is different. Dr. Siegel will determine if you are qualified for Kybella in your initial consultation.
