What Is a Liquid Facelift?

A liquid facelift is a nonsurgical option for facial rejuvenation. It uses injectable liquid fillers to restore a more youthful look.

By injecting target areas with volume and wrinkle-correcting injectables, Dr. Michel Siegel can create the youthful look similar to a facelift, in the right candidate, without undergoing surgery.

Liquid Facelift vs. Traditional Facelift

Houston non-surgical facelift is a much less invasive procedure than a surgical facelift. Patients receive a series of injections to replace volume loss and smooth wrinkles in our office, with no need for surgery. The procedure is relatively painless, and the effects are visible directly after treatment.

While facelifts are a specialty of Dr. Siegel, and he is known for producing natural results with seamless incisions, facelift surgery a surgical procedure, requiring some downtime for recovery and healing.

While the effects of a traditional facelift are longer-lasting, a liquid facelift requires maintenance treatments every 8 to 12 months to maintain results.

Not every patient will benefit from a liquid facelift, proper selection is the key to ensure it is an appropriate treatment and your expectations for correction can be accomplished with a liquid facelift. A liquid facelift may improve the signs of facial aging but will never deliver the same results as a surgical procedure.

Cost of TraditionalFacelift vs. Liquid Facelift

While elective surgery may provide superior results that last longer than a liquid facelift, it is a costlier procedure. A good candidate for a surgical facelift may opt for a liquid facelift, as it is easier to fit in the budget, or they may be able to “buy some time” with a liquid facelift until they are ready for surgery. The exact price of a liquid facelift will depend on the number and areas requiring injections. Still, the cost will still be significantly lower than surgery.

How Soon Are Results Visible with a Liquid Facelift?

The effects of a liquid facelift are immediate. Often, optimal results are evident after only one treatment session, while some people may need two sessions to achieve their desired results. An injectable, if part of your liquid facelift, will take a few days to a week to achieve the smoothing effect.

How Long Does aLiquid Facelift Last?

Typically, this combination of filler treatments can last up to two years, although some people may achieve the best results with a follow-up session. Follow-up treatments should be scheduled before all the effects wear off to continue your body’s natural collagen-building response. The combination of fillers, and an additional treatment with Ultherapy can also prolong results.

Risks of a Liquid Facelift

There are very few risks associated with a liquid facelift. Most patients experience only minor swelling at the injection sites or slight bruising. Ensure this procedure is performed by a highly-skilled facial plastic surgeon for superior results.
