Rhinoplasty for Women
Premier Houston Rhinoplasty Surgeon Dr. Michel Siegel
For superior results in female rhinoplasty, it is vital that your plastic surgeon has a breadth of understanding about the differences between female and male noses in structure, anatomy, shape, and skin quality.
Your nose surgery will be customized to achieve balance and harmony among your features. Certain characteristics are subconsciously associated with either female or male noses and must be considered when crafting a custom surgical plan.
Note: Dr. Siegel specializes in preservation and ultrasonic rhinoplasty, both of which produce superior results. He is one of the few surgeons in the US experienced in these types of rhinoplasty. Find out more.
What Makes A Nose Appear More Feminine?
What is considered to be the most beautiful female nose shape and size will often have these attributes:
- Tip Rotation: More upturned, or more rotated tips, are perceived as female
- Tip Projection: Shorter noses are more feminine
- Nose Bridge: straight or slightly curved bridges are preferred
- Width: Slimmer bridges and more sculpted tips add to a more feminine appearance.
Bear in mind that each of these characteristics should be changed to different degrees depending on the current nose shape, size, and projection in your individual case.
Facial Balance: A Critical Part of a Successful Nose Surgery
Changes in the nose structure must be performed to produce the most balanced result in the relationship to the other facial features. Your eyes, lips, brows, and cheeks will all come into focus – rather than others noticing an overlarge or unattractive nose shape, their eyes will be drawn to your most attractive features.
Why Undergo Nose Surgery? Why Women Choose Dr. Siegel.
Dr. Siegel is an acclaimed nose surgeon in Houston, trusted by women in all walks of life to create a more attractive, balanced look by reshaping the nose. Many aesthetic issues can lead to the decision to meet with Dr. Siegel and plan surgery:
- Hump on nose bridge
- Hanging, drooping, or bulbous nose tip
- Pinched nose tip
- Crooked nose
- Overlarge nose
- Overlarge, wide, or long nostrils
- Unusual nostril shape
- Broken nose
- Flat nose bridge
- Wide nose bridge
What is the Rhinoplasty Procedure?
As you will be undergoing a custom surgery, the actual reshaping process will be associated with your individual nose shape, ethnicity, skin type and personal aesthetic goals.
Dr. Siegel must be able to access the areas that require reshaping, whether nose tip, nostrils, or nose bridge. To do so, he may use one of two incision types:
- Closed Rhinoplasty: For minor shape revisions, it is often possible to perform the reshaping through incisions within the nostrils.
- Open Rhinoplasty: For more extensive revision, the incision is placed at the base of the strip of tissue between your nostrils, where it will be essentially invisible once healed.
The Secret Behind Dr. Siegel’s Success in Female Rhinoplasty
Many plastic surgeons develop a “process” for nose surgery. Some even create a recognizable nose shape they create for every face. Dr. Siegel only performs custom rhinoplasty procedures. The “secret” is his balance between art and surgery. He plans each procedure methodically, he has a deep understanding of the nose structures and the intricacies that make each nose unique, yet he also possesses a discerning eye for balance, and how to achieve fitting nose proportions that enhance the other features. This unique combination, and his professional skills employed in performing nose surgery allows him to shape exquisite noses that appear natural.
Trust the Experience Ethnic Rhinoplasty Demands
Rhinoplasty is the center of this practice. Houston’s Dr. Siegel is an ultraspecialist: the face only, nothing below the neck, for more than twenty years.
- Training you can check, with dates. The Latin Rhinoplasty Course in Cartagena in December 2022, the Guilarte Fellowship in Madrid in November 2023, and structure preservation meetings in Istanbul in June 2022 and May 2024. Every one of those he took after he was already board-certified twice over.
- Closed, scarless technique. Most of his rhinoplasties are performed entirely through the inside of the nose. No incision across the columella means no external scar to heal, watch, or explain.
- Two boards, and the second one matters here. Dr. Siegel is certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and by the American Board of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. The second is why your breathing is examined as carefully as your profile.
- Photographs, not adjectives. Ask to see patients from your own background, at every angle, and judge for yourself whether the outcomes differ from one another.
- One surgeon, start to finish. Dr. Siegel performs your consultation, your surgery, and your follow-ups himself. Nobody hands you to an associate.
- Cases reviewed weekly with a thick-skin specialist. Dr. Siegel meets every week with Tiago Lyrio, MD, a Rio de Janeiro surgeon whose practice is rhinoplasty only and whose known specialism is thick-skin noses, to work through cases and difficult anatomy together.
