Virtual Consultation with Houston Plastic Surgeon Dr. Michel Siegel

We’ve offered consultations by video or phone and photographs for some time, mostly for our out-of-town patients.  But ever since the emergence of COVID we have offered virtual consultations to patients both in and out of Houston, as a safe and non-in-person alternative to a consultation in the office.

It’s easy to get the info we need for your rhinoplasty, facelift, other facial surgery, or non-surgical procedure.  HIPPA-compliant platforms allow us to use your photographs to offer a fully remote consultation, and to give you an idea of what your post-surgery face will look like. You’ll get a chance to look at the face you’d love to see, all from the comfort of your chair, couch, or desk.

What happens during an online plastic surgery consultation?

The consultation is with Dr. Siegel personally.  It’s much like an in-person consultation. You’ll get a chance to ask him about your surgery, the details of the procedure, what your next steps might look like, and more. The conversation also offers you an opportunity to address any questions or concerns you may have, and to do so from the comfort of your own home.

We’ll talk about your health in general and personal medical history.  The goals are to determine whether you’re a good candidate for plastic surgery, and what you can do to correct problems or stabilize health concerns so that you can move forward.

We’ll discuss the changes you’d like to make to your face and why you’d like to make them. We’ll discuss what you want to look like after surgery, and which of our surgical or nonsurgical procedures can help you get there.

We’ll also discuss the procedures themselves: what’s involves in a procedure, what to expect, what your recovery will look like. You’ll get a chance to evaluate the pros and cons of moving forward.

Dr. Siegel will give you an unvarnished medical assessment, and we hope you’ll ask any questions and bring up whatever is on your mind.

Is the consultation platform secure?

The platform we use offers up-to-date security and is complaint with current regulations (like HIPAA). You can feel confident knowing your medical information will be protected, just as though you came into the office.
