Best Nose Job Apps

It’s often difficult to imagine what your face will look like after nose surgery. Many patients who end up very happy with their results go through a difficult period of adjustment. It can take a while to get used to your new look, even when that look meets or exceeds your expectations.

Fortunately, this adjustment period can be partly avoided by using a rhinoplasty app while imagining your new look, choosing a surgeon, and consulting with your surgeon.

A good nose job app has two important benefits:

  1. It helps you decide whether rhinoplasty is something you’re even interested in. Because nose job apps show you what your nose could look like after surgery, they help you figure out in advance what sort of changes you’d like to make. After sketching out a possible “new” nose, you may conclude that you like your current look well enough after all.
  2. It gives your facial surgeon a clear idea of what you want to achieve from the surgery. During and even before your appointment, you and your surgeon can both consult the app to make sure you’re on the same page as to the exact look you want.

There are many substandard apps out there. Here are the best nose surgery apps we’ve encountered so far:

Face Touch Up (facetouchup.com). Face Touch Up is easy to use, and doesn’t require any downloads—you just need to visit the website, register, and upload your photo. (It also has sample photos that you can experiment on without having to register). With this technology, you can get a pretty accurate idea of what your new nose might look like. It’s also great for visualizing chin reductions and augmentations.

Plastic Surgery Simulator (plastic-surgery-simulator.com). This app is a bit more complex than the ones above, and offers a greater variety of tools that you can use to modify your photo. Customer reviews range from delight to disappointment, but it should be fairly effective at helping you envisage how a nose job could change your look. It’s available for Mac, Windows, Android, and iOS.

Of course, the results you get from a nose job app serve as a visualization only. It’s not always possible to replicate them exactly in surgery. There are some kinds of rhinoplasty that can be performed by a surgeon but not easily explored via an app. Conversely, some surgeons may not be able to create the nose that you’ve envisioned and sketched in the app.

If you’re interested in rhinoplasty and a new look, you’d like to work with an experienced rhinoplasty specialist with a long track record of happy patients, and you’re in the Houston area or willing to come here, schedule a consultation with Dr. Michel Siegel.
